JAC 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: An Indian citizen must be applying for JAC 2016. The following personnel are eligible to apply against the NRI Quota:
- Foreign nationals (citizens of countries other than India who are not persons of Indian origin)
- Persons of Indian origin, but are citizens of countries other than India and hold the passport of that country
- Children of persons of Indian origin, who have resided in a country other than India at least for three years immediately preceding the year of admission in the University.
- A minimum of 45% (40% for the reserved categories) must have been achieved in the 12th grade by the applicant.
- She/ he must have compulsorily appeared for JEE (Main) 2016.
- The eligibility criteria as per the CBSE for B.E./B.Arch. is required to be fulfilled by the applicant.
- An applicant who has received a compartment in the 12th grade will not be eligible for admission under JAC 2016.
- Aggregate marks percentage in the 12th grade will be worked out as suggested by the certificate awarding Board/University/Council.
- The Sports Category and the Defence Category under JAC 2016 will be exempted from the AIR declared by JEE (Main) 2016.

JAC 2016 Application Form
Applicants who are interested must fill and submit the application form of JAC 2016.
Steps for applying for AEEE form are mentioned below:
Step No. 1 - The Application Form for JAC 2016 is an online one. Please fill it online at http://www.chdenggadmissions.nic.in. The payment has to be made simultaneously.
Step No. 2 - The Roll Number and Password used for JEE (Main) 2016 has to be used for registration under JAC 2016.
Step No. 3 - Only a few additional details need to be inserted, as the remaining details are those retained from JEE (Main) 2016.
Step No. 4 - Students applying under the Sports and Defence Quotas are required to confirm their application on the confirmation page.
Step No. 5 - After the application form is completed, it has to be submitted along with the corresponding fees.
JAC 2016 Application Form Fees
- The Registration Form must be filled online and submitted with the required non-refundable fees of INR 1200/-. This is for the open category.
- The payment can be made either through the debit card, or the credit card or the E-Challan.
JAC 2016 Selection Mode
- The selection mode for JAC admissions will be based on the scores of JEE (Main) 2016 and the 12th grade. 60% weight-age will be given to JEE (Main) and 40% to the 12thgrade score. The All India Rank prepared by CBSE will be the determining factor for admission to B.E. (or B. Tech.) and B. Arch. for JAC-2016.
- The applicants applying against the SC/ST and PwD quota will also be granted admission on the basis of the relaxation determined by CBSE for Central Counselling.
- The eligibility of the applicants belonging to Backward Classes will follow the above mentioned pattern and even Other Backward Class (OBC) applicants belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) will be admitted for JAC 2016.
